In Christmas 2006 Federation Square presented spectacular evening performances that opened a window on the city.  In celebration of Christmas the East Shard building was transformed into a giant advent calendar.  At 9pm each evening there was a 20 min aerial performance and multimedia show as each window in the calendar was unveiled.
